As a licensed architect with over 25 years of experience, I have been privileged to serve our community through the Ontario Association of Architects—first as an intern on OAA committees and later as a member of Council. The past three years have been an eye-opening experience, offering me the chance to contribute to meaningful change and help modernize our Act and Bylaws to better reflect the realities of today’s profession.

During this term, I had the opportunity to participate in key decisions that will shape the future of architectural practice in alignment with the OAA’s 5-year strategic plan. It has been both a learning journey and a period of exciting progress. As I reflect on what we’ve accomplished, I feel a strong responsibility to see this work through—to ensure that the initiatives we began continue to strengthen and support our profession.
