What We Are Seeking 

The Proposal Specialist is a creative and innovative member of Zeidler’s national marketing team. Working within Zeidler’s marketing team, and reporting to the Director of Business Development, you collaborate to plan, develop, and produce compelling proposal submissions. In this role, your strong attention to detail and organizational skills help you distill complex submission requirements into a clear set of tasks and responsibilities that you communicate to the pursuit team. With the National Proposal Manager, you identify the firm’s strategic brand position and key win themes to guide each proposal response. You are responsible for coordinating the contributions of all team members for the pursuit, and ensuring a clear, unified, and compliant proposal response. By contributing to the firm’s marketing collateral and databases, you continuously support the efforts and efficiency of the team.

 

Your duties will include:

  • Supporting the Director of Business Development in developing timely, high-quality and competitive proposals in response to RFPs

  • Clearly communicating responsibilities and deadlines to the wider proposal team                                                   

  • Designing visual aids in Adobe InDesign and/or Illustrator

  • Coordinating consultant submissions, customizes project profiles and team information                                                     

  • Compiling and laying out proposal documents using InDesign

  • Editing and proofreading proposal documents, ensuring compliance with requests                                                                  

  • Coordinating proposal printing and/or delivery

  • Producing other deadline-sensitive deliverables such as qualifications packages, brochures, presentations and award submissions

  • Updating marketing collateral databases; ensuring valid, current and accurate content including proposal narratives, staff resumes, and project profiles       

 

What You Will Bring 

  • 1–2 years of experience writing proposals is an asset

  • Experience in the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry is an asset                                                    

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while meeting quality standards and on-time delivery

  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including superior editing and proofreading abilities

  •  Well-organized with excellent attention to detail

  •  Strong understanding of graphic design principles including visual composition and typography

  •  Excels in a collaborative team environment 

  •  Proficient with InDesign and document layout. Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite is required.

  •  Have a passion for design and storytelling, and a consistent desire to raise the bar and innovate

  •  Value the social impact of architectural design, sustainability, and accessibility, and can express these values in written material

  •  Be excited to learn about the AEC industry in order to support competitive analysis.

Salary Range: Minimum $60,000
