Junior to Intermediate Intern Architect

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITIY:

We are looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented INTERMEDIATE ARCHITECTURAL INTERN to join our team. As an intermediate Intern Architect you bring seasoned experience on projects of varying scales. You possess a superb attention to detail, are able to think critically, and can lead a team to success.  This position is a full time salaried position with the option of hybrid work (part time in office, part time work from home).

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Be involved in projects of all phases of Architecture, from feasibility studies and schematic design through to Contract Administration
  • Review drawings for zoning and OBC compliance
  • Coordinate with consultants and team members

 

WHAT DO YOU NEED?

  • Graduated from an accredited university program  in Architecture
  • Minimum of 5 years (Post-Graduate) experience
  • Strong design-based skills
  • Very good understanding and knowledge of accessibility codes, life-safety codes, building construction systems, means and methods, materials and industry associated standards
  • Good understanding of the relationship between drawings and specifications
  • Excellent time management skills of yourself and your team
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects
  • Excellent visual and graphic presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Registered as an Intern Architect with the OAA
  • Proficiency in Sketch Up, Autodesk software (Revit & AutoCAD), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Revu Bluebeam an asset.

Salary Range$58,000 to $65,000
