WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITIY:
We are looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented INTERMEDIATE ARCHITECTURAL INTERN to join our team. As an intermediate Intern Architect you bring seasoned experience on projects of varying scales. You possess a superb attention to detail, are able to think critically, and can lead a team to success. This position is a full time salaried position with the option of hybrid work (part time in office, part time work from home).
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Be involved in projects of all phases of Architecture, from feasibility studies and schematic design through to Contract Administration
- Review drawings for zoning and OBC compliance
- Coordinate with consultants and team members
WHAT DO YOU NEED?
- Graduated from an accredited university program in Architecture
- Minimum of 5 years (Post-Graduate) experience
- Strong design-based skills
- Very good understanding and knowledge of accessibility codes, life-safety codes, building construction systems, means and methods, materials and industry associated standards
- Good understanding of the relationship between drawings and specifications
- Excellent time management skills of yourself and your team
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects
- Excellent visual and graphic presentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Registered as an Intern Architect with the OAA
- Proficiency in Sketch Up, Autodesk software (Revit & AutoCAD), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Revu Bluebeam an asset.
Salary Range$58,000 to $65,000
