Intermediate Level Architect

 

Pye  & Richards – Temprano & Young Architects Inc. (PR-TY) is Ottawa’s oldest continuously practicing firm and was founded in 1901. We cater to a diverse group of clientele which includes a well-balanced mix of Governmental, Institutional and Private Sector clients. We are currently active in a variety of projects delivered under existing Standing Offer arrangements with Brookfield Global Integrated Solutions (BGIS), Public Safety Canada (PSC), Public Works and Government Services Canada, (PWGSC) University of Ottawa and multiple School Boards in the greater Ottawa area and Eastern Ontario. Our Private Sector work includes Office buildings, Industrial Buildings, multi-unit residential projects. We have developed specialized expertise in the areas of restaurant design, and hi-tech offices.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking an Architect who will combine their creativity and aesthetic knowledge together to produce exceptional design solutions. As an Architect, you will integrate diverse requirements and disciplines to ensure client scope and design vision is met. You will collaborate and coordinate with in-house architectural technologists and other professional disciplines to develop design solutions according to context, budget and aesthetic requirements of architectural projects. You will participate as a key member of the firm’s executive management team. You will assist the firm in preparing proposal calls and business development.


CANDIDATE CRITERIA:

  • Licensed as a member of the Ontario Association of Architects with 5-10 years experience.

  • Proficient in Architectural and design software skills (i.e. AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Photoshop) and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Familiar with Mechanical, Electrical, and Structural permits and building codes

  • Demonstrate creativity in design and leadership skills

  • Prior experience in project management, project delivery, and client management.

  • Ability to meet requirements to apply and receive applicable security clearances

  • Excellent oral, graphic and written communication skills.

  • Be open to implementation of current trends and initiatives including sustainability, virtual reality, and quality control techniques as applied to Architectural practice.

SALARY RANGE: $75,000 - $100,000
