- DISCOVER AN ARCHITECT
You won’t want to miss this year's keynote speaker: Boris Brott
Boris Brott will set the stage for this year’s Conference “The Music of Architecture” and get us off to a resounding, playful start! You will experience the power of music and the tone for the subsequent days of the Conference will be struck.
Boris Brott, one of the most internationally recognized Canadian conductors, will speak to us about collaboration and the role of the architect as conductor. He enjoys an international career as guest conductor, educator, motivational speaker and cultural ambassador.
Currently, Boris is Conductor and Music Director of the New West Symphony in California, the McGill Chamber Orchestra in Montreal, the National Academy Orchestra of Canada and Principal Youth and Family Conductor of the National Arts Center of Canada. He is also Artistic Director of the Brott Musical Festivals, Ontario's principal classical orchestra music festival.
Brott studied law at the University of Western Ontario 1992-5, and in 1995 began giving motivational seminars to Fortune 500 companies using symphonic music as a metaphor. Thousands of people across corporate America have heard his interactive presentations drawing comparisons between business and symphony orchestras. Both have common goals, each must perform in harmony to achieve those goals, and each continually strives for perfection.
Boris will explore the juxtaposition of teamwork, leadership and creativity; the joy of communication and the achievement of success within the profession through the medium of music. Get ready for an entertaining, fun and meaningful Keynote address.
