New OAA Practice Advisor

Welcome to Colm Muphy!

The OAA is pleased to announce that architect Colm Murphy has joined the OAA in the capacity of Practice Advisor. Colm will be working with the existing Practice Advisory staff on a part-time basis providing a broad range of practice advisory services that support the members and practices as well as providing an interface with those in the allied industries and the public.

Colm brings over 40 years’ experience in Architecture and has worked with both small and large size Architectural practices. During his formative years in Architectural practice (1973 to 1989), he worked on mainly Housing and Retail- related Projects. Later on this expended into Institutional Projects including Healthcare and Justice Facilities, many in joint venture with other Architectural firms. As part of Managing Principal experience, Colm developed and negotiated Client/Architect agreements, Consultant agreements and negotiated Construction disputes. In the past, Colm served on the CSA committee on healthcare standards and various OAA Committees. Colm continues to mentor both graduate Architects and licensed Architects.

We extend sincere thanks to all who applied.
