OAA Headquarters Closes to Members and Public, March 18

The OAA is following the most recent advice of the federal, provincial, and municipal governments on how to proceed as the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation continues to evolve both locally and globally. 
Many of our staff began working from home on Monday. As of Wednesday, March 18, all OAA staff will be working remotely and the OAA Headquarters at 111 Moatfield Drive in Toronto will be closed to both members and to the public until further notice. We are well-positioned to work remotely, having tested our processes last summer as we moved back into the building. Every effort will be made to carry out daily operations as normal and respond to members' needs. 
Protecting the public interest as well as the health and safety of our members and staff remain the OAA's priorities. 
For those members who need to pay their annual membership or Certificate of Practice fees, the closure of OAA Headquarters means you are unable to do so in person. A variety of online options are available at the following link: https://oaa.on.ca/the%20oaa/fees/Fees 
As announced last week, the OAA Annual Conference planned for May in Toronto has been cancelled, as has the April edition of the Fundamentals of Running an Architectural Practice course. The Association is currently considering options for hosting the 2020 Awards Celebration of Excellence and its Annual General Meeting of Members (AGM), along with ways to recognize Newly Licensed Members at a later date.
The OAA is also reviewing the impact on its Continuing Education (ConEd) program, as well as its End of Cycle. More information will be communicated to members shortly
