Solares Architecture designs energy efficient, low carbon, custom homes. We are looking for an energetic and skilled Technologist or Intern Architect to join our team as a full-time Technologist at our Toronto office. To start November 1st, approximately
In this role, you will produce, check, and coordinate construction drawings for numerous projects. Our intention is that this position will evolve over time as your skills and experience grow, and with consideration to your career goals.
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

Be an advanced user of Revit Architecture.

Have had some architectural work experience.

Have a strong understanding of single-family residential construction practices.

Be adept at multitasking and managing multiple projects at once.

Be interested in a long-term position within this growing practice.

Knowledge/experience with sustainable design practices is an asset.
Compensation range: $55,000-65,000 annual salary, depending on experience.

If prior to 2024, are you aware of changes to Topography (TopoSolids vs. TopoSurfaces)? And have you used TopoSolids in a project?

Have you ever developed a process/family to increase efficiency?

A major part of our role includes coordinating consultants. In order to do this work effectively we also need accurate models. Have you modeled structural elements/components on past projects?

What is your Revit troubleshooting process like? Where do you look for assistance?

What sources do you use when looking for Revit families?

Do you have any experience with using LiDAR to measure and model existing buildings (Canvas etc.)?
