Marketing and Communications Coordinator

MJMA is seeking a ‘Marketing and Communications Coordinator’ to join our growing 80-person interdisciplinary Toronto studio. As a ‘Marketing and Communications Coordinator’, you will work within the ‘COMSS’ Team (Communications, Operations, Marketing, Strategy, and Storytelling) – as well as part of the larger integrated design studio of Architecture, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, Experiential Graphic Design, and Engagement – all aimed at delivering full service, holistic design solutions. Our office is a collaborative and dynamic work environment with a commitment to being a great place to work and to foster professional growth of the individual. This role requires an organized and proactive doer, who has the confidence to bring a fresh perspective to our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Working closely and collaboratively with the COMSS team and studio leadership, the primary responsibility and focus of the position is within Communications and Storytelling through a refresh of our website, social media presence, presentations for conference lectures, photography coordination and art direction, and coordination of internal and external events. This includes:

  • Graphic and brand refresh of new website, social media approach, and supporting templates;

  • Development digital media plan and monitor optimization data;

  • Curate and maintain news and outward communications of staff participation in industry events;

  • Coordinate and art direct project and event photography and video;

  • Public relations contact for external media;

  • Develop graphic slide presentation decks for speaking engagements; and

  • Coordinate internal and external events. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in a communications role within a design studio is a must.

  • Demonstrated experience in graphic layout capabilities.

  • Demonstrated multi-tasking abilities and can work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong organizational, planning, time management and prioritization skills.

  • Able to work independently, seek input, and ask for help from team members when needed.

  • Communication and copy writing skills as well as a graphic sensibility is a must.

  • Advanced user in Adobe Creative Suite, UI/UX (Ie. Sigma, Canva), and Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary Range$ 60K-100K, commensurate with experience
