Intermediate Architectural Designer

Adamson Associates Architects provides architectural services on iconic projects across the world from offices in Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, London, and Vancouver.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will join our Toronto-based design team, which works across a range of project types and scales, with a focus on early-phase design for large, complex developments.

This position is ideal for candidates with 7+ years of architectural experience, particularly those who have played a key role in the design of mixed-use buildings, residential developments, or master plans. You should be comfortable taking ownership of design and project tasks, iterating ideas, preparing high-quality presentation materials, and collaborating closely with senior leadership and multidisciplinary teams. You must be competent in a Revit environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Proficiency in 3D modeling software – strong Revit experience is essential; familiarity with Rhino is an asset

• Ability to set up and manage Revit projects independently, including model coordination and drawing standards.

• Experience with early-phase design documentation, including Rezoning, Site Plan Approval (SPA), and municipal submissions

• Working knowledge of Codes, Zoning By-laws, and applicable Design Standards and Guidelines

• Understanding of building design and constructability, with the ability to translate concepts into feasible solutions

• Good design sensibility – able to communicate ideas through clear and compelling drawings, diagrams, and layouts

• Strong work ethic – proactive, adaptable, and accountable, with a mindset of continuous learning and growth

Work Status: Permanent Full Time

Office Hours: 8:30 – 5:00 (Overtime may be required from time to time depending on project needs)

Salary Minimum $60,000
