Intermediate Architect / Architectural Technologist

PDA is an Architectural and Interior Design practice in the west end of Toronto (South Etobicoke), which for the past 35 years has provided our clients with engaged and environmentally responsible consulting services, ranging from program & project management, design & construction documents to construction administration.

We are seeking an individual that will join our energetic and enthusiastic studio, where you will find a friendly comfortable working environment and an industry standard health care benefits package.

QUALIFICATIONS

An Intern Architect or Architectural Technologist with relevant experience in an architectural office.

  • 5 to 7 yrs. knowledge and experience in Autocad & Revit,preferablin an Architect's office.

  • UniversitoCollege degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology.

  • Highlorganized with excellent English communication skills.

  • Knowledge of materialand methods of general construction.

  • Experienced with building practiceand the OntariBuilding Code.

  • Site reviews and contract administration experience required.

  • Interested in working on commercial offices & retailinstitutional, community & recreational facilities, emergencserviceshigh-rise residential, broadcasting projects, and interiors.

 

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Involvement in designconstruction documents, specs and contract administration.

  • Preparing Autocad drawings while managing layers, units, scalingand x refs.

  • Intermediate level of design / technical detailingas required foproject execution.

  • Select and Resolve materials and methods of general construction.

  • Managing project documentation, including emails & shop drawings.

Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000/year Salary commensurate with candidate's level of experience.
