Seven Canadian Projects among Winners of 2023 IOC IPC IAKS Architecture Prize

Seven Canadian projects were among the winners of the International Architecture Prize for sustainable, accessible and innovative sports and leisure facilities, recently presented by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and the International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities (IAKS).

Out of the 17 projects selected for prizes, seven were Canadian, including one winning student project.

At the ceremony, representatives from architecture, management and sport gathered to honour facilities that set new standards in sports and leisure facilities.

There were a total of 88 competition entries from 22 different countries, including Australia, Germany and Canada, and projects were also submitted from Nepal, Thailand and Brazil.
