This job reports to the Assistant Director, Planning, Design and Construction within the Facilities Management & Planning department at the University of Toronto Mississauga. The incumbent is responsible for all aspects of Space Planning and Management Committee (SPMC) project planning on the Mississauga campus of the University of Toronto. The incumbent plays a key role in the development of long and short term plans for space allocation to address academic and non-academic space needs based on University of Toronto guidelines and Council of Ontario Universities space standards.
Degree in Engineering or Architecture or equivalent combination of education and experience. A Professional Engineer or Professional Architect designation required.
Minimum seven (7) years of applicable experience in statistical and facilities analysis. Experience in project planning and management in the post-secondary education sector required.
Project management; knowledge of Excel, Word, Powerpoint and CAD software.
Strong analytical and numerical skills; good organizational and time management skills; sound judgment and tact; good interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and with others (both internal and external partners); ability to set and manage multiple priorities; excellent written and oral communication skills; and strong negotiation skills.
