    Temporary Full Time Associate Construction Manager

    Toronto Community Housing is Canada’s largest social housing provider. We provide homes to 58,500 households with low and moderate incomes, in neighbourhoods across the city.

    The Associate Construction Manager will assist in the management of specific construction projects, progress on cost control, drawing review, coordination, consultation, facilitation and documentation of project development from project design through to construction completion and turnover. Development initiatives consist of a mix of high-rise and low-rise rental, affordable ownership, market "for-sale” housing, commercial retail, office and recreational components. All current projects are designed with high energy efficiency measures, some projects may be LEED, Toronto Green Standard or Energy Star certified.

    Qualifications include

    • Post-secondary degree in architecture, or related degree;
    • 5 years of experience in residential architectural design and/or developer construction management, construction management companies, or general contracting firms;
    • A good knowledge of LEED (or LEED equivalent measures) related construction and commissioning practices required for certification;
    • Experience in a range of types and scales of infill residential development with thorough knowledge of high rise and low rise construction is required.
