Revised Practice Tips, Regulatory Notices and Contracts Available

Updated Online for the New Construction Act

In response to the new provisions of the Construction Act, the OAA has revised Practice Tips (PT), Regulatory Notices (R), standard forms of contract and other documents, which are now available to members on the OAA Website. 

Joining the previously announced PT10.1 and 10.2 are:

  • PT.2, What Every Architectural Practice Needs to Know About Government Legislation;
  • PT.7, Professional Opinion–Independent Opinion–Reviewing a Project Prepared by Another Architect;
  • PT.18, Pre-Qualification of Contractors;
  • PT.23.6, Design-Build: CCDC 14-2013;
  • PT.25, Design-Build: OAA 600-2013;
  • R4, Financial Obligations to Association, Employees, Consultants; and
  • R10, Professional Opinion–Independent Opinion–Reviewing a Project Prepared by Another Architect. 

Further, the following Management of the Project articles have been updated:

  • “When Can Architects Not Certify Substantial Performance?”
  • “Substantial Completion vs. Performance—What’s the Difference?” and
  • “Deemed Completion.”

Revised versions of OAA 600, 601, 602, 603, 800, 801, 900 and 901 have been produced and are being converted into protected PDFs. These files are expected to be available in a few days.
