The Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) requires a part-time Practice Advisor to work along with the current Practice Advisors and staff to deliver a broad range of services that support members and practices. Working three days per week, the Practice Advisor will provide quality, confidential advice on practice matters, respond to enquiries from members of the OAA, building officials, and the public. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Practice Advisor will assist in the identification of emerging or evolving issues related to architectural practice, research relevant issues, and assist in the development of OAA advice and positions.
The Practice Advisor will be an Architect licensed in Ontario, or recently retired member of the OAA, with a minimum of 15 years experience, who has knowledge about current practice issues, including standard documents and recognized industry practises, be familiar with the current operations and policies of the OAA, and be in a position to work at the OAA Headquarters in Toronto. The successful candidate must have good working computer skills in order to conduct research, prepare reports, and respond to e-mail requests in a timely manner.
