OAA Obtains Order Against Bret Cardinal for Unauthorized Practice of Architecture

On Thursday, April 12, 2018, the OAA obtained an order from the Ontario Superior Court of Justice prohibiting Bret Cardinal from holding himself out as an architect or engaging in the practice of architecture. The order was obtained after an investigation by the OAA revealed Cardinal, who has never held a license to practice architecture, held himself out to Temagami First Nation (TFN) as an architect in relation to two capital projects.
Anyone who has retained Bret Cardinal should immediately seek a review by a licenced architect of any work and inform the OAA.
