The OAA is pleased to announce that architect Allen Humphries will be joining us on August 8 in the capacity of Practice Advisor. Allen will be working directly with the existing Practice Advisory Staff on a full-time basis, providing a broad range of practice advisory services that support members and practices as well as providing an interface with those in allied industries and with the public.
Allen has Bachelor of Environmental Studies and Bachelor of Architecture degrees and an Honours Computer Programming and Systems Analysis Diploma along with a variety of Continuing Education Certificates. Allen brings a wealth of experience having worked in small, medium and large architectural practices over the years in all facets of practice. Allen has also served on a number of OAA Committees, most recently as a Chair of the Construction Contract Administration Committee (CCAC) and as a member of the Practice Committee. Through his involvement on various OAA Committees and as an Admission Course instructor, Allen joins us already having good knowledge of the internal and external operations of the OAA as well as valuable insight into the roles and responsibilities of the position of Practice Advisor.
