Taking Care in Architecture - Italian Design Day

20 March 2019

Time: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM EDT | Wednesday, March 20, 2019

Location: Design Exchange | 234 Bay Street | Toronto, ON M5K 1B2

Taking Care is a vision of architecture in the service of the community presented by the Italian architect Simone Sfriso, co-founder of TAMassociati, on the occasion of the Italian Design Day.

Architecture concentrated on society can curb marginalization and exclusion, and become a driving force for new visions, a powerful medium for communicating, an instrument through which many urban and outer city areas can claim rights, experience progress, opportunity, and inclusion.

Architecture can help spread and make effective the principles of sociality, participation, health care, integration and legality, everywhere, and on any scale.

TAMassociati has been awarded in many architectural design awards among which are: Holcim-Lafarge Prize – Africa Acknowledgement Award 2017. TAMassociati has also curated the Italian Pavilion at XVI International Architecture Exhibition - Biennale di Venezia 2016.

Organizers: Istituto Italiano Di Cultura, In Collaboration With Consulate General Of Italy, TAMssociati, Design Exchange.
