Gregory H. Woods (OAA, MRAIC, NCARB) - artist, architect and educator - always privileged the interconnectivity and interdependence of art, architecture, engineering and academia.
The Gregory H. Woods Fellowship in Collaborative Design aims to bring together inventive minds from the world of art, design and architecture to work with students and researchers on projects of their choosing at the Lassonde School of Engineering, York University, Toronto.
The Fellowship is open to students enrolled in Architecture, Design and Fine Arts or related programs in Ontario who wish to pursue a collaborative project. Recent graduates (within the past two years) are also eligible.
The Gregory H. Woods Fellowship in Collaborative Design will be awarded to two recipients in 2016.
The Fellowship will provide $2,000 in funding to each selected recipient to be spent on the chosen project.
In addition, the recipients will have access for the duration of the project to the outstanding facilities at the brand new Bergeron Centre For Engineering Excellence, home of the Lassonde School of Engineering.
Applicants are asked to submit an overview of the project they wish to explore.
This should be done via written description, video declaration or portfolio link. Faculty advisers may also nominate suitable candidates.
